Hi, I’ve had asthma for almost my entire life, (I’m 17 currently), and up till now i’ve dodged physical activity for the most part. Cross country practice at my school starts at the end of August. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me to do some workouts that will make me more ready for the sport. For example.. How many miles i should run a day up to August. or anything else you think would help. Thanks!

Absolutely. Buteyko breathing method, 5-6 times a day, for two weeks, then 3-4 times a day for two weeks. Then 3 times a day for two months, or as you need it. Then whenever you sense symptoms.
Unfortunately, your asthma will get much worse for the first two weeks, but then it will improve. After 3 months you will rarely need your puffer. After 6 months, you will be off your medication. After 12 months, using it only when symptoms present (ramping up to 6 times a day if you have to for a few days), bye bye asthma for good.

And try not to run if the air is really cold.
