Can secondhand smoke cause you to have asthma?

Both of my brothers have asthma, but they started having it when they were about 11 or 12 years old. My dad used to smoke in the house all the time. Can this cause a person to have asthma?

Asthma is a genetic disorder. Not something you get from smoking.
Someone passed a bad gene to them, and they’ll do the same eventually. That’s how genetics works. You should read about it.
